Militaria

Exclusive Collection of Militaria from a Large Private Collection

We are delighted to offer a large and truly unique collection of militaria at auction. The items come from a very extensive private collection and feature rare pieces from significant periods of Danish and European military history. This is the first part of the collection, with the remaining parts to be auctioned later this year.

Historically, the items cover a wide range, spanning from the mid-1600s to the 1950s. The main attraction is the extremely rare and highly valuable pikeman’s cuirass with helmet from the 1600s, used by King Frederick the III’s mounted lifeguard. This piece has only been sold once before.

The collection also includes distinguished sabers, uniforms, and helmets, as well as a variety of objects from World War II. The collector himself was a member of the resistance, and several items originate from his time in the movement. Notably, there is a box of spare parts for Sten submachine guns, which were air-dropped to the resistance fighters in Jutland and still remain in the bag they were dropped in.

This auction runs until September 19th, with the final hammer falling at 10:00 PM."
